The Nelson Apartments

The Nelson, located at 710 W. 14th Street in Chicago’s University Village neighborhood. Previously known as “X Chicago,” this building was originally constructed in 2018 and includes 99 modern apartments with indoor parking. 3F Construction was selected to lead a comprehensive renovation of the building’s common areas, focusing on enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. The scope of work includes upgraded flooring, lighting, and paint throughout the residential corridors, as well as the renovation and revitalization of key amenity spaces such as the tenant lounge, lobby, and social gathering areas.

This project is being executed in collaboration with Shive Hattery Architects, who are driving the design vision and finish selection to elevate the resident experience. We're thrilled to help reposition this asset and breathe new life into its shared spaces, further boosting its value in a competitive rental market.
